Flower Broom Making Project –
Empowering Persons with Disabilities
The Flower Broom Making Project is one of the flagship initiatives of GUPUS (Goalanda Upazila Protibondhi Unnayan Sangastha ). It is designed to empower persons with disabilities (PWDs) by providing them with a sustainable livelihood opportunity. This project focuses on vocational training, employment generation, and financial independence, ensuring that PWDs can earn a living and become self-reliant members of society.
🌱 Project Overview
Many PWDs in our community struggle to find stable employment due to limited access to skill-based training, workplace discrimination, and mobility challenges. The Flower Broom Making Project creates an inclusive environment where persons with disabilities can learn a new skill, earn income, and contribute to society.
This initiative focuses on producing high-quality eco-friendly flower brooms, which are widely used in households, offices, and industries. These brooms are cost-effective, durable, and made from natural materials, ensuring a sustainable and profitable business model.
The Flower Broom Making Project aims to:
✅ Provide training and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
✅ Develop self-sufficiency through a sustainable livelihood initiative.
✅ Reduce economic dependence on others by enabling PWDs to earn their own income.
✅ Promote social inclusion and create awareness about the capabilities of PWDs.
✅ This initiative is not just a business—it’s a movement towards economic and social empowerment.
🎯 Objectives of the Project
✅ Skill Development – Train PWDs in broom-making techniques, improving their craftsmanship and productivity.
